Custodial Lighting
Solite Europe Ltd is a UK manufacturer of LED luminaires and systems for use in the Custodial Sector. With a range of HMPPS approved luminaires Solite can service custody cells from all government agencies – including Ministry of Justice, Home Office, HM Prison Service and Her Majesty’s Courts Service etc.
The company’s extensive product portfolio can also service custody corridors, interview rooms, holding cells, consultation rooms, van docks, wash areas, canteens, and recreational areas and other unmanaged areas.
Solite has developed these products in close consultation with the Home Office and the Ministry of Justice to meet current and pending changes to the guidelines and standards.
The Solite Shield Custodial range of luminaires and systems is designed to be ligature and impact resistant, limiting the risk of occupants self-harming. High severity impact testing, using cell available items, ensures that these luminaires and systems will sustain no operational impairment during service. Our luminaires satisfy the requirements of the STD/E/SPEC/022 technical standard.
Solite use high efficiency medium power LEDs in all custodial luminaires. This helps to reduce glare and offers longer LED life expectancy and reliability (Up to 100,000 hours). LEDs offer clearer CCTV imaging, and lower cost of ownership with reduced energy and maintenance costs.
Solite also offers retrofit LED solutions; new LED gear tray assemblies to replace the existing fluorescent technology. This offers a cost effective opportunity to install the very latest LED technology, without the upheaval of removing and replacing existing, serviceable luminaires.
The Solite Shield range of custodial luminaires and systems are suitable for use in Prison Cells, Police Custody Suites, Customs and Excise Establishments, Magistrate Courts, Crown Courts, Border Force, Mental Health and other secure units.
